THE MOST SIGNIFICANT MOMENT ANY OF US WILL EXPERIENCE IS UPON US.
We long to see every person alive on April 17, 2033 aware of the significance of the 2000th anniversary of Jesus’ resurrection and personally invited to a local celebration.
According to Jesus’ prayer in John 17, the broader and deeper our unity, the stronger will be our witness, and the larger will be our celebration of Jesus!

Here’s the Bigger Picture Backstory:
2000TH ANNIVERSARY

2033 is being recognized around the world as the 2000th anniversary of Jesus’ death and resurrection, as well as the birth of the Church at Pentecost.
The whole world marks time by the life of Jesus, whether they acknowledge that fact or not. While scholars from a variety of backgrounds disagree on the exact year of Jesus’ birth within about a four year window, the Holy Spirit has inspired consensus around 2033 — without even one planned “let’s fight this out and see who wins” conversation!
TOWARD 2033

Countless international ministries and streams have set global 2033 goals independently, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, such as:
Plant 1,000,000 churches
Translate the Bible into every language and tongue
Pray for every person in the world by name
…and other “with God, all things are possible” goals.

JC2033’s unique piece in the emerging 2033 picture is the local celebration piece. Imagine communities across the nation, in every state and every city, celebrating the Resurrection on Easter, 2033 in such a unified way that nobody can miss it! God already gave that vision back in 2007 to founder Olivier Fleury. We all are now partnering with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to bring heaven to earth just like Jesus taught us to pray (Matthew 6:10) and then prayed Himself (John 17.)

God has assigned different pieces of the 2033 movement throughout the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit has created deep desires for relational unity and sacrificial collaboration, where all recognize that our work is for the King and the Kingdom, and bigger than any of us.

A NATIONAL STRATEGY
FOR THE USA

2033 is an accelerant, an excuse to do what Jesus taught us to do anyway.
Technology is today’s Roman Road system and Printing Press - making connection possible like never before.
We AREN’T spending years planning a 2033 celebration; we’re building broader and deeper relational unity now, which creates a stronger witness, and will produce a larger celebration.
We AREN’T predicting Jesus’ return in 2033. If He returns in 2032, none of us will be disappointed. If He tarries, all the work leading up to 2033 will be just as needed in 2034 and indefinitely.
Each year starting now, a citywide celebration in the Easter to Pentecost window accomplishes three things:
Provides a unity barometer, revealing relational work to be done in the next year
Practices celebrating in such a way that the whole Body of Christ can take ownership
Produces visible unity so that friends and neighbors come to know our Risen Lord Jesus.
